Reconstructive surgery is a branch of plastic surgery, the main task of which is to restore or recreate the best form and function of a lost or pathologically altered body part with the highest aesthetic result in order to improve the quality of human life. The materials of this specialization are tissue flaps and grafts. The latest equipment of the Centre makes it possible to effectively carry out the most complex surgeries, including high-tech operations using microsurgical techniques. Highly qualified doctors of the Department of Microvascular and Reconstructive Surgery provide emergency and elective care.
On an emergency basis, replantation of severed fingers and limb segments is carried out, assistance is provided to patients with extensive wounds with damage to the neurovascular bundles, significant soft tissue defects.
Breast reconstruction operations are performed in a planned manner using free and non-free tissue flaps, expanders, prostheses, including the reconstruction of the nipple-areolar complex; surgical treatment of lymphostasis, various methods are used to close extensive soft tissue wounds, bedsores, reconstruct large bone defects of various localization using vascularized bone flaps; reconstructive operations in case of damage to peripheral arteries, nerves; reconstructive operations on a hand; correction of an amimitic face in case of damage of the facial nerve; surgical treatment of tubal infertility; surgical treatment of transsexualism, including gender reassignment.
All surgeons of the department continuously improve their professional skills, undergoing the most modern training, they are also members of international plastic surgery communities.
The following reconstructive surgeries can be performed in the department:
- BREAST RECONSTRUCTION (free/non-free tissue flaps, prostheses, expanders, reconstruction of the nipple-areolar complex)
- SURGICAL TREATMENT OF LYMPHOSTASIS
- CLOSURE OF EXTENSIVE WOUNDS OF SOFT TISSUES, DECUSCULES (local tissues, autodermoplasty, vascularized flaps without/with formation of microvascular anastomoses)
- RECONSTRUCTION OF LARGE BONE DEFECTS OF VARIOUS LOCALIZATION USING VASCULARIZED BONE FLAPTS
- RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY FOR DAMAGE OF PERIPHERAL ARTERIES, NERVOUS
- REPLANTATION OF LIMB SEGMENTS AFTER COMPLETE AND INCOMPLETE (with damage to the neurovascular bundles) TRAUMATIC AMPUTATION IN THE EMERGENCY SITUANIONS
- FINGER TRANSFER
- RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY FOR INJURIES OF TENDONS, LIGANS, JOINTS, HAND BONES
- ELIMINATION OF SCAR DEFORMATIONS, CONTRACTURES, SYNDACTYLY
- SURGICAL TREATMENT OF DUPUYTREN'S CONTRACTURE
- TREATMENT OF COMPRESSION AND ISCHEMIC NEUROPATHY OF THE UPPER AND LOWER LIMB (syndrome of the carpal, cubital, Guyon's canal, etc.)
